03 — About us

A small team, rooted in Joetsu.

The Joetsu Tours team

We are guides, translators, and lifelong residents of the Joetsu region — born under its snowfall and raised by its sake breweries, mountain shrines, and Sea of Japan harbours.

Joetsu Tours began with a simple frustration: that visitors to Niigata so often passed through on the way somewhere else. We started as a translation service, became a small tour outfit, and now do a bit of both — connecting travellers with the people, places, and businesses that make this corner of Japan its own quiet world.
